Includes materials on the OSU Stadium Theatre summer Broadway series (1950-1979) and the OSU Theatre Company for advanced graduate students (1987- ). Contains materials on the OSU world premiere plays The night Thoreau spent in jail (1970) and Jabberwock (1972) by alumni Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee. Also includes materials on the 1964 OSU production of Little foxes starring stage, film and television actress Eileen Heckart (OSU '42).

In 1925 high school teacher John T. Scopes was arrested and tried for teaching Darwin's theory of evolution in Dayton, Tennessee. Scopes was defended by Clarence Darrow, while the prosecution was represented by William Jennings Bryan.
